Shingle Springs is currently in the process of creating a Community Plan to preserve its rural residential lifestyle for generations to come.

Surveys were completed and collected at the June 5, 2013 Community Meeting and the results are available here.

A presentation of the main concepts of the Community Plan was given to the Board of Supervisors on January 14, 2014 to get the Board's buy in and support for the plan.  You can view the presentation to the Board here.

The Long Range Planning Staff presented a Community Planning Guide to the Board of Supervisors on November 17, 2014.  The Shingle Springs Community Alliance Core Committee will move forward with a draft Community Plan for Shingle Springs based on input received from the community over the past year and from the direction of the Board to communities and staff.

What is a Community Plan?
A Community Plan allows a community to create guidelines for future development so that its unique character and lifestyle is preserved.

About Shingle Springs

Originally an early, bustling, California gold mining settlement, Shingle Springs has taken on the character of a peaceful country community with ranches and homes on acreage.
